About the Farm: That Girl’s Flowers is a certified organic flower farm, raising two acres of cut flowers. That Girl’s Flowers grows and sells cut flowers wholesale to grocery stores and florists and retail through the farm shop located at the farm. Additionally, there is a u-pick flower garden where people can pick their own flowers. Nellie grows flowers on her parents’ land where she grew up learning how to farm. Her family’s farm is That Guy’s Family Farm, and they grow certified organic produce alongside the flowers.
Job Overview: We are seeking to hire an employee to work on the flower farm who is a hard worker and loves to work outside. As the owner and manager, Nellie is very involved with daily farm tasks and works side by side with employees. This offers many chances to learn through experience and ensures efficiency. Your time will be spent in the flower fields growing, maintaining, and harvesting flowers as well as in the studio making bouquets. Working on a flower farm means getting dirty and sweaty, but the work is rewarding.
Job Description: You will be exposed to different flowers and diverse tasks throughout the growing season. You’ll learn the techniques of harvesting flowers at the appropriate time and arranging bouquets with care. Planting, harvesting, making bouquets, hand weeding, hoeing, cultivating, tilling, weed eating, mowing, and field maintenance are ongoing projects. You’ll be asked to perform all these tasks plus more throughout the season. You will be expected to maintain consistency and quality in all work that is performed.
Qualifications: Can squat and bend over for extended periods Can stay on feet most of the day Can work in hot and humid weather as well as rain Can lift heavy and awkward objects up to 50 pounds Valid driver’s license

Compensation & Hours: $13-15/hour depending on experience. ½ - 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Working hours are M-F 8am-4:30pm. Occasional Saturday mornings will be required for u-pick events. 15-30 hours per week is average depending on how many days per week you work. Availability required May-September, April-October preferred
